Crushed cocoa beans are pieces of raw cocoa, dried and crushed, roasted after the outer shell of the beans has been removed. Crushed cocoa beans have a rich aroma and crunchy nut texture. They can be added to sweet and salty dishes, used to sprinkle pastries, ice creams, and to enrich the taste and nutritional value of salty meals.
Cocoa beans not only give the food irresistible aroma of dark chocolate with a slight bitter note, but also a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
